Use VirtualVolts to organize and plan work, never to establish that electrical equipment is safe to work on.
Not electrical training
VirtualVolts does not teach or certify electrical competency, qualify anyone to perform electrical work, or replace required training, manufacturer instructions, site procedures, or professional judgment.
Planning software, not electrical control
VirtualVolts organizes facility records, maintenance forecasts, and modeled outage information. It does not monitor or control real equipment. Energized, de-energized, open, closed, and affected-load indications are simulated or recorded states, not measurements or confirmation of actual field conditions.
Never use a diagram as permission to work
Opening a simulated breaker or disconnect does not establish that downstream equipment is safe to touch, test, or maintain. Models may omit alternate feeds, backfeed, stored energy, temporary connections, or system changes. Qualified personnel must independently verify actual conditions and follow applicable electrical safety, isolation, lockout/tagout, and absence-of-voltage verification procedures before work. This software does not replace those procedures or provide switching instructions.
Engineering and customer responsibility
VirtualVolts does not provide engineering approval, certify equipment condition, or determine whether work was performed correctly. Customers and their qualified professionals remain responsible for verifying facility data and drawings, selecting maintenance requirements, coordinating and approving outages, selecting contractors, executing work safely, evaluating test results, and resolving deficiencies. Software support is not ongoing facility or maintenance management.
Maintenance requirements and NFPA 70B
NFPA 70B is a standard for electrical equipment maintenance; its applicability depends on the project and applicable requirements. Sample templates, tasks, intervals, checklists, and acceptance criteria are not authoritative requirements or a complete maintenance program. Review and configure them against applicable adopted codes and regulations, AHJ requirements, manufacturer instructions, engineering requirements, and customer policy. Neither Standard nor Minimum/Baseline mode establishes or guarantees compliance. VirtualVolts is not affiliated with or endorsed by NFPA.
Forecasts, trends, and outage suggestions
Due dates depend on entered completion dates and configured intervals. Outage impact and bundled-maintenance suggestions depend on the recorded topology and schedule and may be incomplete or incorrect. A test trend is not a pass/fail determination. Measurements, acceptance criteria, findings, and recommendations require qualified review; no display guarantees reliability, capacity, redundancy, safe operation, or regulatory compliance.
Examples and controlled drawings
Public example facilities, readings, and maintenance records are fictional and illustrative, not approved construction drawings or designs for a real installation. Facility changes require verification and an authorized one-line revision. Report suspected errors or system changes before relying on affected planning information.
Current local version and records
This version stores facility records in this browser on this device. It is not yet a production, multi-customer hosted database service. Browser clearing, device loss, or storage failure can cause data loss. Export and securely retain backups; do not use this version as the sole repository for required records. Do not upload patient information, credentials, or other sensitive personal information. Deleting a record does not remove copies in previously exported backups.

They are not a substitute for a signed service agreement, applicable legal obligations, or professional advice, and do not purport to waive rights that cannot lawfully be waived. Commercial terms and privacy disclosures must accurately reflect the deployed service before customer launch.
